IBM Corporation dropped the $7 billion bid to buy SUN Microsystems Inc. this weekend. Though the talks where in their final stages, IBM withdrew the bid as soon as SUN ended their negotiating partnership. But then SUN shares closed at $8.48 per share on last Friday while it was believed that IBM was ready to offer $9.50 per share. If only this proposal was a success, it would have definitely stunned the entire computer industry.
